Former North Dumfries mayor Rob Deutschmann is seeking a Kitchener seat on Region of Waterloo council.

Deutschmann is a personal injury lawyer and was township mayor for one term from 2014-2018. In 2018 he ran for regional chair, placing second to Karen Redman, and earning the second-place vote in every city and township.
